About The Position

The Quality Engineer plays a critical role in driving product excellence across Low Voltage Drives and Printed Circuit Board manufacturing operations. This role is hands-on and highly collaborative. It provides daily production line support, resolving quality issues. Additionally, it leads proactive quality planning, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. The goal of these efforts is to ensure products consistently meet internal and external customer expectations. You will lead the monitoring, analysis, and improvement of key quality metrics for the Mequon Operations site. You will participate in directing, maintaining, and improving the Quality Management System, partnering closely with operations to drive measurable, sustainable results. Through data-driven analysis, you will identify strategic improvement opportunities and leads cross-functional efforts to resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Relevant Field.

Nice To Haves

  • Typically requires 2+ years of Quality Engineering experience.
  • Data analysis skills including knowledge of advanced Excel and PowerBI capabilities.
  • ISO documentation systems knowledge and experience.
  • Previous experience with Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) and / or Drive systems, processes, and products.
  • Familiarity with SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Drive improvements in internal defects, external PPM, scrap reduction, and overall quality performance.
  • Develop, evaluate, and audit processes using capability studies, control plans, and out-of-control analysis to improve process performance.
  • Investigate product quality issues and ensure appropriate containment.
  • Lead teams using standard problem-solving tools to identify root cause and implement corrective actions.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
  • Lead resolution of customer issues using structured problem-solving methods (8D, CAPA, A3).
  • Establish a continuous improvement operating rhythm by setting targets and partnering with associates, engineers, and leaders.
  • Collaborate with business units, customer service, supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, and production.
  • Prepare, maintain, and present quality metrics and reports to multiple organizational levels.
  • Contribute to the development and adherence of quality standards according to the Rockwell QMS and ISO 9001:2015.
  • Execute responsibilities in compliance with health, safety, quality, environmental regulations, and Rockwell Automation policies.
