Keeps management advised of project accomplishments and major problem areas as well as budget and schedule status. A leader who directly manages others is responsible for driving the performance of each direct report and the team as a whole by clarifying expectations, understanding capabilities and motivators, and guiding associate development.

Requirements

  • 5 + years experience in related position

  • Familiar with lean manufacturing principles for machining and assembly operations
  • 10+ years’ experience in related position.

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the Corporate Product Line Team Leader and the Operations Functional Staff, develop and implement a "Program Plan" using the methods and templates as defined in the Operations Program Management (OPM) Playbook. The functional departments as defined in Operations include, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Facilities, Procurement, Supplier Quality, Global Supply Chain, Plant Operations, and Operations Program Management
  • To reach out as to the Outside North America (ONA) facilities for the coordination and execution of the program deliverables. Program Plan development must also consider the inclusion of "non-Operations" departmental landmarks including but not limited to Product Engineering, Product Line Team, Customer Validation and other significant events , Allison Staff and Operations Management Team reviews.
  • Responsible and accountable to maintain program timing, cost, and quality by working up, down, and across the organization in a collaborative, professional, and catalytic manner.
  • Organizes, schedules, and conducts internal launch and gate reviews highlighting the deliverables that would have a negative effect on the cost, quality, and delivery of the program. Effective utilization of the "Recovery Plan" to maintain program deliverables.
