About The Position

Carter Support Services is seeking an experienced Operations Production Manager to oversee key manufacturing operations within a heavy industrial environment. This role is responsible for driving performance across safety, quality, productivity, and cost control while ensuring efficient plant operations. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree OR minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing supervisor role
Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
Knowledge of PLC systems
Knowledge of Motor control centers
Knowledge of Static drives
Knowledge of Power distribution systems
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints
Strong leadership and team management skills

Nice To Haves

Background in heavy industrial operations (steel, metals, chemicals, or similar)
Experience leading teams in high-volume or process-driven environments
Proven track record in continuous improvement and operational efficiency

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of safety, quality, productivity, and cost control within assigned production areas
Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time and optimize material flow
Implement mission-critical maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
Supervise and provide technical guidance to hourly production personnel
Ensure compliance with safety standards, operational procedures, and housekeeping practices
Troubleshoot and support electrical systems and production equipment based on operational needs
Ensure equipment availability to support on-time delivery and product quality
Coordinate with internal and external teams to support mill operations and production flow
Develop and promote cross-training programs to enhance workforce capability
