About The Position

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced operations professionals with strong expertise in inventory management, capacity planning, resource allocation, operational forecasting, and supply-demand coordination. This role focuses on reviewing professional documents, spreadsheets, and presentation materials related to operations, inventory, and capacity planning. Selected experts will assess outputs for analytical accuracy, operational feasibility, planning rigour, presentation quality, and overall professional credibility.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in operations planning, inventory management, capacity planning, supply chain, logistics, or a closely related field
  • Strong hands-on experience with inventory and capacity planning
  • Practical understanding of demand forecasting, resource planning, utilisation, and operational constraints
  • Ability to evaluate trade-offs across inventory, capacity, cost, service levels, and execution
  • Experience developing or reviewing operational plans, forecasts, models, and performance analyses
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Advanced proficiency with PowerPoint / Google Slides
  • Strong spreadsheet and quantitative analysis skills
  • Native or professional fluency in English
  • Excellent written communication and ability to provide precise, structured feedback
  • Strong attention to analytical, operational, and presentation detail

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate operational plans for accuracy, feasibility, and alignment with business requirements

  • Review whether recommendations appropriately reflect operational constraints and demand patterns
  • Evaluate capacity requirements across teams, facilities, equipment, or operational resources
  • Review utilisation assumptions, workload forecasts, and capacity constraints
  • Assess whether proposed capacity adequately supports expected demand
  • Identify under-capacity, over-capacity, and resource-allocation issues
  • Evaluate expansion, reallocation, or optimisation recommendations
  • Review forecasts and planning assumptions used to determine operational requirements
  • Assess alignment between anticipated demand and available resources
  • Evaluate trade-offs involving staffing, inventory, throughput, cost, and service levels
  • Identify inconsistencies between forecasts and resulting operational plans
  • Review scenario and sensitivity analyses where relevant
  • Evaluate spreadsheets supporting inventory, capacity, resource, and operations decisions
  • Review calculations, assumptions, forecasts, and key operating metrics
  • Identify analytical errors or inconsistencies between underlying data and conclusions
  • Assess whether quantitative analyses support the proposed recommendations

  • Assess whether proposed changes address underlying operational constraints

  • Review stakeholder and executive presentations for clarity and decision usefulness
  • Identify factual, analytical, aesthetic, and formatting issues
  • Assess whether charts, tables, and visuals accurately represent underlying operational data
  • Ensure conclusions and recommendations are clearly supported by the analysis
  • Assess assigned outputs against domain-specific quality criteria
  • Identify operational, analytical, factual, and presentation weaknesses
  • Distinguish substantive planning issues from minor editorial concerns
  • Provide clear, structured written feedback explaining identified strengths and weaknesses
  • Apply evaluation standards consistently across different operations work products
