About The Position

The Operations Manufacturing Technician Level II position is part of the Waters Materials Sciences Manufacturing team (formerly Waters TA Instruments). The role offers an opportunity to develop electronic and mechanical skills while working with a team to achieve goals and objectives. The technician tests, troubleshoots, and repairs analytical instruments, accessories, and service parts, evaluates instrument performance against established specifications and procedures, and prepares instruments for shipment.

Requirements

• Associate's degree from an accredited post-secondary school in electronics, electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology, or a closely related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience directly related to working with digital and analog circuits.
• Knowledge of PC-based instrument control and data analysis.
• Ability to think critically and resolve issues and non-routine problems.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, and repair analytical instruments, accessories, and service parts using established specifications and test procedures.
• Analyze instrument test data and evaluate instrument performance against established specifications and procedures.
• Maintain appropriate data for later analysis.
• Perform mechanical and electrical work or rework as needed.
• Prepare instruments for final shipment, including configuration and packing.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties assigned by management.
