About The Position

The Manufacturing Level II Tooling Technician will lead the development and validation of new injection molding processes using Scientific Injection Molding techniques. This role involves executing IQ/OQ/PQ protocols, running dynamic studies, and collaborating with manufacturing teams. The technician will also develop and review technical documentation, provide support for injection molded components, and optimize existing processes to reduce scrap and improve cycle time. A key aspect of this role is conducting root cause analysis for molding or material issues and implementing corrective actions. The technician will work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure stable and capable manufacturing processes, create and execute validation protocols, and perform statistical analysis using Minitab.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in injection molding process development or engineering.
  • Strong understanding of polymer behavior, resin chemistry, and scientific molding principles.
  • Understand D2 Processes (Decouple Molding).
  • Hands-on experience in DOE (Design of Experiments), process validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in interpreting resin data sheets and converting material properties into process parameters.
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Must function well in a team environment and must communicate well with others.
  • Motivated self-starter that can productively work alone and in groups to solve problems.
  • Must have proven mechanical ability.
  • Must have the ability and willingness to work as needed/required in order to complete required work and communicate with other shifts.
