About The Position

Sodexo is seeking an Operations Manager for Laundry in Bronx, NY for Lincoln Hospital. This role will oversee and directly manage linen operations within this account for Second Shift (10am and 11am start times, with some rotating weekends and holidays as business needs dictate). The position is responsible for ensuring the efficient handling, distribution, and quality control of all linen services, while maintaining strong client relationships and leading on-site staff. This is a leadership position in the account with all responsibilities that has direct client contact. Sodexo Healthcare teams work to direct Laundry operations at client locations, partnering with them to deliver innovative solutions. The position will manage a team of 8-10.

Requirements

  • Exceptional client service mentality and executive presence
  • Leaders who develop and motivate a team to exceed the expectations of clients and customers in service and the technical execution of Linen / Laundry systems
  • Strong leadership skills and can work independently to drive program compliance and reach project target dates of completion
  • Proficient with computers and other technology
  • Experience with vendor and contract management
  • Strong financial acumen and budget management experience
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years Minimum Management Experience
  • 2 years Minimum Functional Experience of production experience

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and assists with monitoring daily work schedules and/or work assignments to ensure proper staffing needs
  • Checks quantities and condition of all sanitation supplies and reports discrepancies.
  • Manages, trains, coaches to motivate to work as a cohesive team.
  • Handles any overlapping Facility Vendor interactions and issues with professionalism.
  • Prioritizes tasks and responsibilities as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as required by Management
  • Drive client and patient satisfaction scores
  • Work closely with the Infectious Control department
  • Support an inclusive workforce
