About The Position

Sodexo is seeking an Operations Manager for Laundry in Bronx, NY for Lincoln Hospital. This role will oversee and directly manage linen operations within this account for Second Shift (10am and 11am start times, with some rotating weekends and holidays as business needs dictate). The position is responsible for ensuring the efficient handling, distribution, and quality control of all linen services, while maintaining strong client relationships and leading on-site staff. This is a leadership position with direct client contact. Sodexo Healthcare teams direct Laundry operations at client locations, partnering with them to deliver innovative solutions. The position will manage a team of 8-10.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently to drive program compliance and reach project target dates of completion.
  • Proficiency with computers and other technology.
  • Experience with vendor and contract management.
  • Strong financial acumen and budget management experience.
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum Management Experience - 2 years.
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years of production experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and assist with monitoring daily work schedules and/or work assignments to ensure proper staffing needs.
  • Check quantities and condition of all sanitation supplies and report discrepancies.
  • Manage, train, and coach to motivate the team to work as a cohesive unit.
  • Handle any overlapping Facility Vendor interactions and issues with professionalism.
  • Prioritize tasks and responsibilities as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as required by Management.
  • Drive client and patient satisfaction scores.
  • Work closely with the Infectious Control department.
  • Support an inclusive workforce.
