Requirements

  • 3+ years of operations, production, or warehouse management experience; experience managing multiple sites or facilities preferred
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and hold accountable a team of 10+ employees
  • Familiarity with DOT, FMCSA, and fleet compliance regulations
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, production forecasting, and warehouse operations
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and experience maintaining safety documentation and leading safety programs
  • Experience with CAPEX planning and coordinating facility maintenance projects
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work hands-on in a mill or warehouse environment and cover operational positions as needed

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of staffing for 12+ employees across both mills and the warehouse, including hiring, training, scheduling, disciplinary actions, and vacation/sick leave
  • Oversee and manage onsite contractors
  • Learn and be available to cover various positions within the mills and warehouse as needed
  • Maintain a production and warehouse forecast to meet customer demand
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels to prevent stock-outs and accommodate customer orders
  • Maintain and manage drug logs and drug reconciliations
  • Ensure team follows and stays current on all company policies and procedures
  • Maintain and manage location maintenance and cleaning schedules; lead housekeeping initiatives
  • Investigate, communicate, and assist in resolving any quality issues that arise
  • Ensure team and contractors follow all company safety guidelines and attend required training courses
  • Maintain all safety documentation
  • Manage the Samsara fleet app including driver coaching and disciplinary actions
  • Manage and maintain the company's DOT and FMCSA score online, including any biennial updates
  • Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance and contractor work at all locations with minimal production disruption
  • Assist in planning CAPEX projects for locations
  • Coordinate with contractors to obtain quotes and schedule work
