About The Position

RW Connection is a Mid-Atlantic distributor and service provider for industrial and hydraulic hose, conveyor belts, gaskets, and MRO supplies. Its seven branches across Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New Jersey support customers with local inventory, fabrication, and field services. As part of Singer Industrial, RW Connection is connected to a broader network of more than 55 platforms, 110 locations, and 1,500 employees. The Operations Manager leads operational performance across all RW Connection locations. The role combines operational leadership, people development, and business management to ensure branches operate safely, efficiently, and consistently while delivering exceptional customer service. The Operations Manager directly leads Branch Managers, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and strengthens the systems, processes, and talent that support long-term growth and profitability. Success means helping make operations safer, more reliable, and more profitable across the locations. Through strong leadership of Branch Managers, the Operations Manager builds accountability, develops talent, improves operational performance and customer service, and uses operational and financial insights to improve efficiency, control costs, maintain compliance, and ensure branches have the people, processes, and resources needed for sustainable growth.

Requirements

Experience leading operations in a multi-location distribution, manufacturing, service, or industrial environment.
Proven experience managing and developing leaders, including coaching, performance management, and talent development.
Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to interpret operational and financial metrics and drive business results.
A track record of improving safety, productivity, inventory accuracy, quality, or customer service.
Familiarity with quality management systems, audits, documentation, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively with Branch Managers and frontline teams, set clear expectations, and follow through.
Comfort with regular regional travel and occasional hands-on work in branch or warehouse settings.
Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements.

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting ISO or CMMC programs, or working in an environment with formal quality, regulatory, or security requirements.
Familiarity with inventory management and cycle counting.
Experience with production or fabrication operations.

Responsibilities

Oversee operational performance across all RW Connection locations, maintaining consistent standards while responding to each branch’s needs.
Directly manage, coach, and develop Branch Managers, setting clear expectations and building leadership capability across the organization.
Promote a strong safety culture across branch, warehouse, production, delivery, and field service activities.
Support RW Connection’s quality processes, including its ISO and CMMC programs, in partnership with quality, compliance, IT, and branch leaders.
Help maintain audit readiness through consistent procedures, accurate records, employee training, and timely follow-up on findings.
Promote process discipline and continuous improvement, including corrective actions and prevention of recurring issues.
Identify and implement operational improvements that enhance productivity, customer service, inventory accuracy, quality, and overall efficiency.
Partner with branch leaders to monitor key business and financial metrics, including operating expenses, inventory investment, productivity, and profitability.
Improve workflows, productivity, service levels, and cost control; identify issues and follow through on practical solutions while balancing customer service, quality, and safety objectives.
Oversee inventory accuracy and availability, including cycle-count programs, discrepancy investigation, and corrective actions.
Support production and fabrication operations, helping teams manage priorities, capacity, quality, and on-time completion.
Coordinate maintenance, inspection, and readiness of company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
Establish clear operating procedures and performance measures; review results with branch leaders and implement action plans to help resolve gaps.
Work across locations to share best practices, support staffing and training needs, and keep teams aligned.
Support workforce planning, employee development, succession planning, and talent management across all locations.
Travel regularly among RW Connection branches and, as needed, customer or field-service locations.
