We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic, energetic, and eager Operations Manager in Miami, FL! About DO & CO We have a passion for hospitality culinary delights on every elevated floor and in the sky. With our three business segments, Airline Catering, International Event Catering, Restaurants, Lounges & Hotels, we offer gourmet entertainment all over the world. We operate in 33 locations, 12 countries and 3 Continents, maintaining the highest standard of quality in both our products and services. Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of leadership experience in transportation, logistics, airline catering, or food manufacturing
  • Experience managing large, frontline operational teams
  • Strong background in transportation, dispatch, ramp, and airport operations (preferred)
  • Proven ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and operational systems
  • Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards (TSA, DOT, OSHA)
  • Understanding of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP)
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in varying temperature environments
  • All airport-related positions require applicants to successfully complete the mandatory airport security clearance process for their assigned location. This includes meeting all TSA and U.S. Customs requirements, as outlined in 49 CFR §1542.209, and obtaining the appropriate airport-issued identification badge (e.g., SIDA, AOA, or equivalent), in accordance with local airport authority regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage transportation, fleet, ramp safety, and dispatch operations
  • Supervise a large frontline workforce including drivers, helpers, dispatchers, equipment packers, food assembly helpers, and flight coordinators.
  • Ensure compliance with all airlines, airport, and regulatory requirements (TSA, DOT, OSHA)
  • Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence
  • Plan, forecast, and schedule transportation activities aligned with flight demand
  • Ensure zero missing items and minimize delays impacting flight departures
  • Partner closely with dispatch and production teams to ensure seamless execution
  • Enforce transportation policies and safety procedures across all operations
  • Ensure fleet readiness, maintenance, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance
  • Monitor fueling, maintenance, and equipment performance
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA, DOT, and internal safety programs
  • Implement and enhance SOPs, policies, and training programs
  • Monitor labor, overtime, and operational costs to meet budget targets
  • Track KPIs and generate reports for leadership
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards (FSQA, HACCP, GMP)
  • Manage airline relationships and ensure service expectations are met
  • Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders
  • Support policy development, cost analysis, forecasting, and demand planning
  • Assess operational risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Lead or support special projects as assigned
