PHINIA is currently looking for a dynamic, results-driven individual to join as an Operations Manager in our Laredo distribution center location. Requirements

  • Proven leadership and people development capability.
  • Trained in conflict management and business negotiation processes.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; proficiency in SAP.
  • Responsible and reliable employees.
  • Must be a team player with a good attitude and practice safety.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Continually enforce and improve policies and procedures throughout the facility.
  • Ensure smooth and accurate operation of the facility to eliminate/reduce discrepancies by recognizing weak areas and introducing solutions to strengthen those areas.
  • Provide HANDS ON leadership to site supervisors in developing and implementing programs such as: Safety, CPI, 5S, Lean, and other programs to ensure Safety, Quality, Delivery and Continuous improvement of the operation.
  • Maintain a reporting system on the performance of all functional areas to be available to customers.
  • Develop in coordination with the customer, a detailed site business plan, and ensure that all items in it get measured and accomplished every week.
  • Provide hands-on support to those areas out of compliance to establish a quick and reliable resolution.
  • Participate in Business reviews as established in coordination with the customer.
