Directs and coordinates activities of the branch to obtain optimum efficiency and excellence of operations and maximize profits by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors under the direction and support of Branch Manager. The Operations Manager is responsible for the operational results of the branch. The major role is one of business leaderships for operational organization. The main goals of the Operations Manager: • Ensure profitable growth • Operational excellence • Ensure customer satisfaction and retention • Staff development and leadership

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in freight forwarding, project cargo, or logistics operations.
  • Proven experience managing breakbulk, Ro/Ro, heavy-lift, and oversized cargo movements.
  • Experience in vessel chartering, including voyage and time charter negotiations.
  • Strong knowledge of multimodal transportation and international logistics.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced international environment.
  • Four to ten years related experience and/or training.

  • Advanced education a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee project cargo, breakbulk, Ro/Ro, and multimodal transportation operations.
  • Coordinate complex logistics projects from planning through execution, ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Arrange and manage vessel chartering activities, including negotiations with shipowners, brokers, carriers, and service providers.
  • Monitor operational performance, project profitability, and key service metrics.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, terminals, vendors, and overseas partners.
  • Support commercial activities by providing logistics solutions and project expertise.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety requirements, and company standards.
