The FFC Operations Manager is responsible for identifying and resolving safety issues on the floor, addressing safety trends escalated from supervisors, and completing safety observations to build a culture of safety. This role partners with corporate and support functions to determine daily workload, ensuring inventory movements are monitored. The manager evaluates staffing needs, works with Operations Supervisors to allocate resources, and monitors/adjusts the staffing plan as needed. They provide inspired leadership, promote a high-performance culture, and onboard/train supervisors. Effective communication with inbound/outbound Operations Supervisors regarding business objectives, safety, current issues, and daily demand is crucial. The role involves reporting key performance metrics and financial figures to upper management and the Store Support Center (SSC), setting supervisors up for success to meet targets, and collaborating with other operational shifts and cross-functionally with Support Managers to ensure consistent processes, communication, staffing plans, and customer needs are met. The Operations Manager identifies and acts on needs for efficient operations, safety issues, and bottlenecks, and assists in implementing process improvements or new processes launched from SSC. They are responsible for attracting and hiring talented individuals, setting goals, communicating clear expectations, providing feedback, monitoring and managing associate performance, and holding associates accountable. Additionally, they provide resources and support, assist supervisors with management-level issue resolution, communicate business objectives to associates, offer developmental opportunities, and sponsor/lead associates through change.
