About The Position

Blue Dot Services of Maryland, part of the ARS family of brands, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our residential service team in Forest Hill, MD. This role is ideal for a proven leader who excels at developing employees, driving accountability, improving performance, and creating a positive team culture. While experience leading field service teams is preferred, HVAC experience is not required. We have strong technical resources in place and are looking for a leader who can coach people, improve operations, and deliver results.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing field employees, technicians, service teams, operations, or similar workgroups
  • Proven ability to coach, motivate, and develop employees
  • Experience managing performance metrics and operational results
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to hold teams accountable while building a positive culture
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in home services, construction, transportation, utilities, facilities, mechanical services, plumbing, electrical, automotive service, or related industries preferred
  • Experience leading field service teams is preferred, HVAC experience is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of field technicians and frontline leaders
  • Drive accountability, performance, and employee engagement
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Partner with dispatch, sales, and operational teams to maximize efficiency
  • Conduct regular coaching, training, and performance discussions
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and retention efforts
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and operational execution
  • Manage scheduling, workforce planning, and daily service operations
  • Help create a culture focused on safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Support branch profitability and growth initiatives
