Job SummaryReporting to the Regional Vice President (RVP), the Operations Manager plays a key role in supporting and executing departmental strategies and day-to-day operations. This position partners closely with the RVP to plan, implement, evaluate, and report on operational performance while driving efficiency, compliance, and service excellence. The Operations Manager also serves as a critical liaison between internal teams and clients, ensuring alignment, clear communication, and successful program execution across all areas of responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5–10 years of progressive operations management and leadership experience within a large, complex organization
  • Prior experience in a college or university environment strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success in financial management and cost containment
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to connect and align multiple operational functions
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Responsibilities

  • Support overall leadership and execution of departmental operations, including planning, directing, and evaluating performance
  • Provide financial oversight, analyze operating results, and deliver regular reporting to the RVP
  • Identify cost-control opportunities and implement strategies to improve labor and material efficiency
  • Directly oversee assigned unit(s), including managing and developing managers and frontline staff
  • Contribute to the development and execution of short- and long-term strategic goals
  • Collaborate on University-wide programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
  • Assist in developing and managing strategic plans and integrated operational programs
  • Serve as a liaison across departments to ensure collaboration and alignment of priorities
  • Monitor processes, compliance, and internal controls; recommend improvements and ensure operational integrity
  • Support the development and implementation of new policies and process enhancements
  • Stay current on industry trends and participate in ongoing professional development
  • Represent the department on committees, task forces, and cross-functional initiatives as needed
