About The Position

The Operations Manager will assist the General Manager in executing the overall direction and coordination of the local business unit. This role will lead safe work practices and lean management of the transportation and delivery function. The Operations Manager will work closely with the Team to ensure accountability for inbound/outbound logistics. They will report to the General Manager.

Requirements

Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts.
Possess a valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
Able to lift, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, and/or stretch during shifts up to 10 hours long.
Able to lift, push, pull and move boxes up to 70 pounds each.
Able to move up and down stairs.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience interacting with Independent Contractors (Delivery Service Providers).

Previous experience with final mile deliveries.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and analytical skills.
Demonstrated communication skills (written and verbal).
Spanish speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with overseeing day-to-day operations.

Maintain budgets and optimize expenses.
Set policies and processes.
Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally.
Oversee recruitment and training of new employees.
Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance.
Direct the employee assessment process.
Prepare regular reports for upper management.
Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations.
Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors).
