About The Position

The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall direction and coordination of the local business unit. This role will lead-safe work practices and lean management of the transportation and delivery function. The Operations Manager will work closely with the Contractors team to ensure accountability for inbound/outbound logistics. This role will be considered a Hybrid position, Monday to Friday, and potentially operate Saturdays during Peak season.

Requirements

• Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts.
• Possess a valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
• Able to lift, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, and/or stretch during shifts up to 10 hours long.
• Able to lift, push, pull and move boxes up to 70 pounds each.
• Able to move up and down stairs.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years experience interacting with Independent Contractors (Delivery Service Providers).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations.
• Design strategy and set goals for growth.
• Maintain budgets and optimize expenses.
• Adhere to policies and processes.
• Oversee recruitment and training of 4PL Contractors.
• Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance.
• Prepare regular reports for upper management.
• Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations.
• Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors).
