This involves focusing on regional or upstream distribution centers, target.com fulfillment centers, or import warehouses. The work encompasses Distribution Center Operations, driven by process and problem-solving; Quality Management, maintaining the brand's reputation; and Distribution Center Productivity, continuously analyzing and recalibrating support for people, process, and technology investments in an evolving business. An Operations Manager influences with a focus on safety, leadership, excellence, self-motivation, problem-solving, and teamwork. This role involves fostering a “safety first” culture through awareness, training, and accountability, and establishing oneself as an engaging and inclusive leader responsible for team productivity, growth, and development. The manager creates a positive work environment through real-time observation and constructive feedback. Working with urgency ensures operational plans are executed, performance and budget goals are achieved, and teams are informed and coordinated. The position offers autonomy to innovate with new process approaches for efficiency and future optimization, supported by an environment of calculated risk and testing to find root causes of problems. Commitment to others is demonstrated by helping teams meet business goals.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, with the ability to engage and motivate others
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Good reasoning, conflict-management, and analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to access all areas of the Distribution Center, including the mezzanine platforms
  • Able to read and interpret necessary policies and procedures to perform updates and operate systems and other programs within the Distribution Center, for example, ability to traverse conveyor crossovers
