Requirements

  • Ten (10) years of experience in facilities operations and maintenance type work.
  • Four (4) years in a management role overseeing the operation and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems and personnel. Management role inclusive of at least 30 personnel.
  • Business/Management/Engineering Bachelor’s degree or trade license in a professional trade.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience to manage a large facilities management contract with similar scope of work and duties.
  • Understanding of Government contracts, correspondence, reports and records.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas, present information, and engage audiences in various settings, including conferences, seminars, and client meetings.
  • Proficiency in monitoring and managing labor, tracking project costs, and implementing strategies to optimize resource utilization.
  • Ability to operate office equipment and use Microsoft Office Suite programs.

  • Ability to pass a pre-hire background and drug screen.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Fifteen (15) years of facility operations management to include working with NASA.
  • Master’s degree in engineering, business management or construction field.
  • Extensive knowledge of FAR Requirements for Government Property and Subcontracting procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and oversees all routine facilities maintenance and repair programs. Coordinates with all other contract departments as needed.
  • Oversees and provides direct supervision of lower tier sub-departments and their functions.
  • Plans, directs, coordinates, and reviews the work plan for assigned staff; assigns work activities, projects, and programs; reviews and evaluates work products, methods, and procedures; meets with staff to identify and resolve problems.
  • Works with all lower tier Facility Personnel to direct effective work execution for building systems such as HVAC, electrical, building controls, plumbing, fire alarm, sprinkler, carpentry, masonry, storm water, site infrastructure, etc. Work includes but is not limited to: Routine, urgent and emergency work orders, Scheduled equipment preventive maintenance activities, Scheduled equipment predictive maintenance activities, Unscheduled outage support and restoration, Outside specialty vendor and subcontracted activities
  • Analyzes contract work and ensures all activities performed are in scope.
  • Monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures; recommends appropriate service and staffing levels.
  • Participates in the development and administration of project goals, objectives, and procedures. Prepares and administers large program budgets.
  • Develops and utilizes metrics (KPIs - key process indicators) to measure and improve crucial department functions.
  • Schedules, attends, and heads business meetings with all internal/external stakeholders as needed.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with the customer and company personnel.
  • Interprets and applies Federal, State, and local policies, laws and regulations.
  • Responds to emergency site maintenance or conditions as required.
  • May occasionally be required to operate Government or Company-owned motor vehicles.
  • Adheres to all established company safety, personnel policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
