About The Position

The Osen-Hunter Group, LLC (OHG) is a Virginia-based company that provides security training and operational support to the US government and security program design and consulting services to select private sector clients. Operations Manager, Strategic Initiatives will perform, manage, and lead security consulting services to private sector clients, such as special event security, retained client services, and protective security programming. The Manager position is a remote/hybrid position, with scheduled trips to the OHG company office in Warrenton, VA. The Manager will report directly to the CEO.

Requirements

  • Must be able to provide documented experience in listed areas of responsibility
  • Minimum 20 years of directly relevant experience with demonstrated increases in responsibility.
  • Minimum 20 years of experience supporting US Government Agencies that include one of the following: United States Secret Service or Federal Bureau of Investigation.
  • Must maintain a current US security clearance to the level of Top Secret.
  • Experience conducting security assessments, risk modeling, and/or protective security is required.
  • Be able to travel CONUS/OCONUS for brief periods with little or no prior notice.
  • Must be willing and able to conduct local/regional/international travel approximately 25% of work time.
  • Must be readily available for duty, even during off-duty hours, unless on scheduled leave.
  • Must have demonstrated judgment and sound decision-making abilities and skills, commensurate with the responsibilities of armed protective security.
  • Must be customer service-oriented and a team player.
  • Be able to perform detailed and effective route planning and navigation in unfamiliar locations.
  • Must maintain a high level of grooming, physical fitness, and professional appearance.
  • Must be highly proficient with MS Office applications.
  • Must be proficient in original creation of multi-media presentations and training materials.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both in speech and writing.
  • Must be able to effectively operate handguns, rifles, shotguns, optics, and comms equipment.
  • Must be legally able to possess, ship, transport, or receive firearms and ammunition.
  • Able to obtain state (non)resident PPO/PPS licensing.
  • Able to hold resident Concealed Carry Permit.
  • Able to hold first aid/CPR/AED certification.
  • Position requires full mobility and dexterity to operate vehicles and equipment. Must be able to kneel, squat, run, climb, stretch, bend.
  • Must be able to maintain a standing or sitting position for up to two (2) hours, to include within the confines of a vehicle.
  • Must be able to walk, jog, or ride a bicycle for up to one (1) hour.
  • Must be able to lift and carry fifty (50) lbs. up and down two (2) flights of stairs.
  • Must be able to carry/drag one-hundred eighty-five (185) lbs. a minimum distance of twenty-five (25) yards on level terrain within a time of thirty (30) seconds.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be a US citizen.

  • MS/MA in Security, Intelligence, or related discipline, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Led and support strategic initiatives working with the executive team to devise and implement customer-focused solutions
  • Independently or as a member of a team, conduct security (vulnerability/threat) assessments, to include all phases of the assessment process: Scoping, pricing/proposal, planning, research, execution, report writing, and client debrief.
  • Meet with [prospective] clients to understand and define real and perceived security needs.
  • As the Senior Event Security Coordinator or as a member of the event security leadership team, manage all phases of event security projects: Scoping, pricing/proposal, planning, execution, and debrief.
  • Provide armed and unarmed close protective security to designated person(s) in private/public settings.
  • Conduct advance site visits and protective operations planning as required, to include route analysis.
  • Consume and create protective intelligence to support protective operations.
  • Conduct surveillance detection and countersurveillance activities during protective operations.
  • Work to achieve Corporate Services business development goals.
  • Advise OHG executive leadership on corporate, travel, and personal security matters.
  • Perform open-source analytic support of multiple private-sector security initiatives to include social media monitoring, travel threat assessment, and case threat assessments based on client needs.
  • Perform business intelligence work in support of business development efforts, to include opportunity identification and competitor analyses.
  • Perform regulatory and policy research and analysis in support of business decision-making.
  • Provide support, as needed, to the operational and logistical functions of other company activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
