About The Position
The Caturus platform, founded by Kimmeridge, is an alternative asset manager focused on the energy sector. Kimmeridge's vision is to build the only independent, fully integrated natural gas and LNG export platform in the U.S. Caturus is a Houston-based, private exploration and production company seeking to materially grow production through development of deep, high pressure, dry gas windows of the Eagle Ford and Austin Chalk, as well as Haynesville formations. Commonwealth LNG was founded by industry veterans who decided to re-engineer the LNG construction model, aiming to build a world-class LNG export facility while focusing on safety, managing risk, and achieving best-in-class environmental standards. The Strategic Initiatives Office is seeking a highly capable Project Manager / Strategy professional to lead high-priority, cross-functional initiatives across a growing energy business. The role will span value creation, strategy execution, business transformation, and enterprise technology initiatives—from business case development and planning through implementation, adoption, and benefits realization. This individual will serve as both a hands-on delivery leader and a strategic thought partner, translating executive priorities and ambiguous business challenges into structured workplans, driving alignment across functions, solving complex business problems, and developing fact-based recommendations for senior leadership. The role offers significant exposure to executive leadership and the opportunity to influence some of the company’s most important initiatives. The role has high visibility and access to the C-Suite.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in project management, strategy consulting, private equity operations teams or a closely related role
- Demonstrated experience leading projects involving multiple stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort in financial/data analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation ability
- Strong facilitation and influencing skills, including the ability to drive alignment without direct authority
- Proven ability to work independently and manage ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Prior Experience in the energy industry is preferred
- Experience with digital transformation or change management initiatives
- Experience with high-growth, sponsor-backed businesses also a preference
Responsibilities
- Lead complex, cross-functional strategic initiatives from problem definition and business case development through implementation and benefits realization
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders across different seniority levels, translating business goals into clear project plans
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and internal process reviews to identify opportunities for growth or efficiency
- Develop and present executive-ready recommendations, business cases, presentations, and decision materials
- Facilitate cross-functional decision-making, proactively resolving issues, dependencies, and competing priorities
- Monitor project and strategy outcomes post-implementation, adjusting recommendations based on real-world results
- Manage multiple concurrent workstreams independently, prioritizing effectively under pressure
