About The Position

ComSonics is seeking an Operations Manager to lead its Repair Services operation in Greenwood, Indiana. This role is responsible for overseeing a team of 30 individuals involved in receiving, repairing, and shipping electronic equipment to customers with accuracy and timeliness. The position reports directly to the Vice President – Products and Services and holds full responsibility for daily operations, team leadership, and financial performance. The Operations Manager will set quality, turnaround time, and productivity expectations, and will be involved in hiring, coaching, and developing employees. This includes managing schedules, workloads, and ensuring the team has the necessary tools, training, and processes. Continuous improvement of workflow, efficiency, and accountability are key aspects of this role. Financial duties involve managing the operating budget, controlling costs, and overseeing P&L performance, with regular reporting of key operational metrics to leadership. The role also ensures compliance with the ISO 9001 quality management system and collaborates with customer service and sales to manage expedite requests, provide equipment status updates, and coordinate shipment timelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or at least five years of related operations or leadership experience (equivalent combinations considered).
  • Experience leading teams in a hands-on repair, service, or technical operations environment is strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable managing priorities.
  • Ability to solve operational problems.
  • Clear communication skills.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience using an ERP system.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
