About The Position

A well-established HVAC company with two active divisions — installation and service — is looking for an Operations Manager to own the day-to-day running of their service division. Reporting directly to the owner, you'll be the person keeping technicians on track, customers satisfied, and the back office humming. This is a role with real upside for someone who shows up and owns it.

Requirements

  • Strong people skills and emotional intelligence — calm under pressure, a genuine listener
  • Able to manage technicians and customers without getting reactive or overly emotional
  • Thinks like a business owner: proactive, organized, and focused on outcomes
  • No HVAC technical knowledge required — willingness to learn processes is what matters
  • Must be available 8am–5pm in-office, Monday through Friday

Responsibilities

  • Oversee service division operations end-to-end, from scheduling through invoice close
  • Ensure proposals go out within 24 hours and invoices are closed by end of day
  • Collect payments on time and manage billing disputes within established guidelines
  • Be present at 8am when technicians arrive to set the tone for the day
  • Schedule technicians and keep them accountable to the day's workload
  • Support techs with common-sense job decisions and follow up on job notes after each call is completed
  • Provide recognition, incentives, and hands-on problem-solving to keep the team running smoothly
  • Handle calls from management companies and homeowners with patience and professionalism
  • Serve as the steady, reliable voice between field operations and the customer
