About The Position

This position is responsible for driving and implementing the business plan for their area of responsibility to achieve facility goals such as production, quality, and safety, and to implement operational improvements. The role involves forecasting staffing, workload, and performance results to meet business demands. It also includes preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports to identify operational improvements. The Operations Manager will monitor and ensure compliance with Logistics and company quality and safety standards, policies, and procedures. They will resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns using judgment or by consulting others. A key part of the role is supervising and managing associates and leaders by giving direction, monitoring performance, providing feedback, identifying training and development needs, and providing opportunities for learning and growth. This includes teaching, supporting, and modeling Logistics and company policies and procedures, and participating in the hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of associates, leaders, and managers. The role emphasizes respecting individuals by building high-performing teams, embracing differences, creating a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected, and creating opportunities for all associates to thrive. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management); and 1 year's experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments / areas OR 1 year's experience as a Walmart Logistics Area Manager supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates OR 3 years' experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments / areas.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Responsibilities
