About The Position

As an Operations & Maintenance Operator, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of bp’s Olympic Pipeline system. This position involves hands-on field operations, minor electrical and mechanical maintenance, and supporting emergency response efforts. You’ll work both independently and as a team across multiple sites, helping maintain infrastructure that delivers refined products throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of mechanical or electrical experience, or a relevant technical degree.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S., a valid driver’s license and ability to acquire a TWIC.
Must adhere to DOT drug testing requirements.
Ability to complete bp’s O&M training program within specified and reasonable timelines.
Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and ability to work independently.
Pre-employment drug test and background check required.
This role is a safety sensitive position.
Post-offer candidates must submit to and pass pre-employment drug testing, which screens for prohibited substances, including marijuana and Cannabinoids (CBD).

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor pipeline facilities, including performing routine inspections and troubleshooting.
Conduct quality assurance checks and manage hazardous waste in compliance with environmental regulations.
Support facility maintenance and assist with minor electrical and mechanical repairs.
Participate in emergency response activities and complete required training (DOT Operator Qualifications, Hazwoper, respiratory protection, etc.).
Maintain accurate documentation and use systems such as MAXIMO and MS Office for reporting and workflow management.
Be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed; respond to call-outs and emergency situations promptly.
Exhibit safe work practices at all times, including accurate use of company provided PPE and safe vehicle operation.
