About The Position

The Operations Leadership Trainee participates in hands-on training and day-to-day mentoring to learn all Profit Center jobs and develop the skills needed for a leadership role. Trainees are expected to pursue learning across all aspects of the business, meet training goals and timelines, master each job position, build product knowledge, and demonstrate operational excellence and leadership through their daily work and business projects. The role involves interacting with customers, teammates, and vendors; assisting customers purchasing or picking up merchandise; and performing warehouse duties such as loading and unloading trucks and operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely. The trainee must complete required safety and compliance training and perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors and management.

Requirements

College degree or equivalent industry experience.
Experience in customer service, sales, management, or leadership roles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Initiative and leadership qualities.
Ability to learn applicable computer hardware and software systems used to process orders, including Solar Eclipse and Mincron.
Ability to use Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, for email, sales plans, call reports, customer contact files, and customer data analysis.
Strong customer service, communication, listening, and persuasion skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, teammates, vendors, and co-workers.
Ability to quickly develop comprehensive knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center.
Ability to learn to operate warehouse material-handling equipment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
