Operations Leadership Development Program – Class of 2027
About The Position
The Accelerated Manufacturing & Production Excellence Development (AMPED) program is a 2-year Rotational Program designed to prepare future operations plant leaders. It begins in June 2027 and includes three 8-month rotations across key manufacturing sites in NH and CT. Associates will gain critical operational and leadership experience through structured technical and leadership training, certifications, mentorship, and immersive, project-based rotations. These rotations are designed to build key operational experiences and competencies while contributing to current business priorities. The program involves participation across three Marmon Electrical Platforms: Marmon Utility, Marmon Aerospace & Defense, and Marmon Industrial Energy & Infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, Supply Chain, Process Engineering or related field (Graduating by May 2027)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Demonstrated leadership through internships, sports, co-ops, or campus involvement
- Demonstrated learning agility
- Willingness to relocate for rotations and post-program placement
- Ability to commute within the defined working state
- Ability to travel 10-15%
- Willingness to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts
Nice To Haves
- Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing or operations environment
- Exposure to lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or ERP systems
- 3.5+ GPA
Responsibilities
- Participate in structured rotations across manufacturing operations
- Analyze and improve production processes using lean and Six Sigma tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve real business challenges
- Lead people, safety, quality, and efficiency initiatives
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership
- Complete a Continuous Improvement capstone project with measurable ROI
