The Houston Service Center (HSC) provides repair, overhaul, and testing services for Aeroderivative gas turbine engines and modules. The HSC Operations Leader (Gate 4) will be responsible for scheduling and execution of the work plan that supports the JPort Test cell operations for the 2nd shift and weekends (as necessary). This role involves leading a team of hourly shop operations employees in the execution of Gate 4 - Engine Test processes within the Houston Service Center during 2nd shift operations (2 pm to 10:30 pm). The leader will manage and plan resource allocation to meet engine test schedule targets, establish and implement continuous improvement projects to enhance Safety, Quality, and cycle times for operations, and be responsible for hiring, training, developing, and providing ongoing leadership of assigned personnel. Additionally, they will establish and maintain communication tools and structures to ensure the team understands and delivers on schedule targets, devise methods to track, communicate, and drive relevant Operations metrics, and make recommendations to leadership as required. Any other job duties as assigned by the Gate Leader to support Service Center Operations will also be part of the role.
