About The Position

The Operations Lead is a member of the store leadership team who drives and coaches the team toward profitability and efficiency. Working closely with Operations & Visual Managers, this role initiates and delegates work and provides feedback to support effective store operations. The position requires constant movement throughout the store, including the sales floor and back of house. When not assisting guests, the Operations Lead takes initiative to keep the store clean, safe, inviting, and efficient. The role leads inventory management and operational processes, supports business reporting and resource management, and helps maintain strong visual and stockroom standards. It also oversees Operations Associates, contributes to their development, and collaborates with other store leaders to execute company initiatives and deliver a strong guest experience. The Operations Lead opens and closes the store in accordance with back-of-house standards.

Requirements

At least 2 years of prior work experience in a client-centric, sales environment.
Proven leadership capabilities and excellent decision-making.
Values feedback, is receptive to receiving it, and is eager to provide it.
Self-motivated, with a desire to achieve results and excel individually and as part of a team.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Requires constant movement throughout all areas of the store.
Ability to lift, push, carry, or otherwise move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, and/or twist, and safely climb up and down a ladder.
Ability to stand and move for an entire shift.
Full-time employees must be available for opening, closing, and weekend shifts; schedules may change.
Employees must be able to work from the week of and including Black Friday until the end of the holiday season, in the first week of January.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute inventory management processes to maximize inventory accuracy and reduce shrink.
Investigate root causes of inventory accuracy issues and partner with the General Manager to escalate process or system gaps.
Manage shipment, receiving and processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, intra-day replenishment, floor set updates, and supply management.
Champion strong visual standards on the sales floor.
Support a safe work environment and efficient operation through strong stockroom standards and processes.
Partner with Operations & Visual Managers on reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities.
Use business metrics to support strategies that drive business results.
Move dynamically on the retail floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team, and guests.
Lead by example and inspire staff in daily operations and guest experience.
Directly oversee Operations Associates and recruit and develop talent.
Use company performance tools to evaluate Operations Associates and provide ongoing feedback to support individual growth and improvement, in partnership with the store leader.
Collaborate with the Visual Lead on cross-functional training and with the Sales & Service Lead to ensure the business is well-executed.
Execute company-level operations directives, projects, and initiatives in partnership with the management team to achieve goals and KPIs.
Open and close the store in accordance with back-of-house standards.
