The Operations Lead is primarily responsible for assuring all procedures are followed in achieving the highest level of productivity in the most cost-efficient manner possible while still maintaining customer specifications. This role involves directing and leading a team of employees, ensuring compliance with all food safety programs, and enforcing Farmer Focus policies. The Operations Lead is also responsible for employees’ performance development, safety, and work schedule.

Requirements

• Excellent attendance is required of all applicants.
• Person selected must know or be willing to learn all the jobs in the department.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Ability to do paperwork as needed.
• Proven performance and positive attitude.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist Supervisor on getting the Leg Debone started daily on time.
• Fill in as needed at any position to ensure a consistent product flow.
• Assist Supervisor with Production paperwork as needed.
• Respond to USDA inspectors and their concerns in a timely and correct manner.
• Help train new team members and monitor their performance.
• Perform production checks to ensure the department is performing to standards.
• Assist other supervisors and managers with issues in other departments in the plant.
• Other Job Duties as needed.
