Operations Lead
About The Position
The Platform Operations Lead role requires a unique blend of cloud engineering expertise, operational rigor, and leadership. This role ensures the reliability and performance of critical financial platforms hosted in AWS GovCloud. The Lead will guide the operation and evolution of a secure, scalable cloud platform, bringing deep cloud operations experience and hands-on AWS GovCloud expertise to support and modernize essential government financial systems. Responsibilities include leading the implementation of resilient cloud architectures, lifecycle management, automation strategies, and proactive monitoring to meet stringent performance, compliance, and security requirements of public sector financial operations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience supporting cloud-based and enterprise-scale platforms
- Experience in an operational role in AWS GovCloud
- Experience with Terraform and infrastructure automation
- Experience supporting complex distributed systems, containerized services, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience in cloud operations security, monitoring, logging, and incident response
- Experience with event-driven platforms, including Kafka, such as Confluent, Redpanda, or AWS MKS
- Public Trust determination is required
- Bachelor's degree
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Kubernetes-native infrastructure tools, such as Crossplane
- Experience modernizing or supporting government financial systems
- Experience in a multi-cloud operational role
- Experience with Chaos Engineering or SRE testing frameworks
- Experience with quality assurance automated testing strategy
- AWS, Azure, or GCP professional-level certifications
