About The Position
The 2027 SF Fed Summer Internship Program is designed for college and graduate students to experience work-life in a vibrant, dynamic, and collaborative environment. The program aims to foster professional and personal growth, with interns working closely with managers and team members on projects critical to the Bank's success. The Operations Intern role focuses on ensuring business operations remain sound, updated, efficient, and documented, utilizing skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, writing, and collaboration. Interns will gain exposure to a variety of operational-related challenges, building foundational knowledge for their future careers. Teams hosting Operations Interns include Audit, Banking Supervision, District Cash Services, Federal Reserve Financial Services, Enterprise Risk Management, and Workplace Experience.
Requirements
- Full-time undergraduate or graduate student currently enrolled in an accredited community college, four-year college, or university.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 – June 2029.
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Residency.
- Keen interest in public service and the mission-driven work of the SF Fed.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for the full duration of the 10.5-week internship.
- Ability to work 5 days per week in-office.
