About The Position

The 2027 SF Fed Summer Internship Program at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is designed for college and graduate students to gain experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The program focuses on professional and personal growth, with interns working closely with managers and team members on projects critical to the Bank's mission of public service. Operations interns will utilize skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, writing, and collaboration to ensure business operations remain sound, updated, efficient, and documented. They will gain exposure to a variety of operational-related challenges to build foundational knowledge for their future careers. Teams hosting Operations Interns include Audit, Banking Supervision, District Cash Services, Federal Reserve Financial Services, Enterprise Risk Management, and Workplace Experience.

Requirements

Full-time undergraduate or graduate students currently enrolled in an accredited community college, four-year college, or university.
Expected graduation date between December 2027 – June 2029.
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Residency.
Keen interest in public service, and the mission-driven work of the SF Fed.
Demonstrated leadership ability.
Ability to work 40 hours per week for the full duration of the 10.5-week internship.
Ability to work 5 days per week in-office.
