About The Position

During your internship you will contribute to a variety of essential business functions and learn about the processes involved in achieving success. As an intern, you will gain an understanding of the operational needs and functions of the business. Learn about the processes involved in managing the flow of goods and what it takes to run a successful business. Perform job duties that support the operational needs of the business. Engage in various facets of work in areas including but not limited to warehouse, delivery, and inventory management. Effectively listen, communicate, and interact with coworkers, customers, and vendors. Confidently assist customers and/or business partners. Actively pursue opportunities to learn a variety of Profit Center business functions and why they are important. Make a difference by impacting the Profit Center in a positive way through daily work and/or business projects. Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned. Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, or a recent graduate within the last 60 days.
  • Be able to excel in a wide range of tasks and showcase both interpersonal and critical-thinking skills.
  • Possess excellent customer service, communication, telephone, and listening skills.
  • Be able to quickly develop a comprehensive knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center.
  • Possess a high level of organization and attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Be able to learn and operate the computer-related systems used for warehouse operations.
  • Be able to prioritize work projects and multi-task.
  • Be able to use Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel) to communicate via email and to maintain weekly reports and documents.
  • Be able to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, teammates, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous exposure to operations, customer service, and/or sales (a plus).
