This specific position provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the sports and hospitality industry, immerse oneself in the Big XII football atmosphere, build a professional network, and foster personal and professional growth. Tailgate Game Day Interns are needed on-site for up to 6 Saturday home games in the fall of 2026 at the University of Cincinnati, including specific dates against Boston College, Western Carolina, Kansas State, Texas Tech, Utah, and Colorado. Requirements

  • Act in a courteous manner and dress presentably as he/she will be representing UC Athletics and REVELXP.
  • Work closely with his/her immediate manager and keep the manager informed of any issues relating to donor/employee safety and satisfaction.
  • Understand that he/she will be perceived by donors and staff as a management team member.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and guests warmly and provide an exceptional game day experience.
  • Ensure professional presentation of all tailgates by arriving 6-7 hours prior to kick off to move coolers, ice, and chairs, hang signage, and complete quality control checks according to logs and diagrams.
  • Be ready and attentive at site drop-off areas to welcome guests, help unload and transport tailgating equipment to designated areas, answer questions, and inform guests when the tailgate site officially closes.
  • Exhibit outstanding customer service by checking in with guests to ensure their needs are met and they are having an unforgettable experience.
  • Be proactive in assisting by picking up tailgate sites when guests step away and being available to transport equipment back to vehicles.
  • Manage the guest services area at the Welcome Tent, direct guests, and provide assistance as needed to ensure smooth operations.
  • Respond promptly to customer needs, requests, and inquiries, addressing concerns with professionalism and a can-do attitude.
  • Assist the Event Manager + General Manager with day-of operational tasks, including setting up and breaking down equipment, managing supplies, storing materials correctly, and ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized site, ensuring all areas are tidy and presentable throughout the event to represent REVELXP standards.
