About The Position

The Temporary (15 months) Operations Financial Analyst oversees the financial aspects of the plant, with a strong focus on raw material analysis and yields, while supporting their team in managing labour costs and other operating expenses. In their role as a business partner to the manufacturing team, they ensure the accuracy of financial information, support the understanding of results, optimize operations, and lead transformation projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA), Accounting, or Finance required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • CPA
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience required.
  • Bilingual in French and English, written and spoken, considered an asset.
  • Positive leadership and strong team spirit.
  • Effective communication.
  • Autonomy, sense of responsibility, and sound judgment
  • Customer- and solution-oriented mindset
  • Continuous improvement culture
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables; Power Query is an asset)

Responsibilities

  • Determine milk payments and periodically analyze raw material yields used in manufacturing, as well as related performance indicators.
  • Support the Operations Analyst in month-end closing activities (volumes, labour, and other expenses).
  • Develop the plant manufacturing budget, with support from the plant Operations Analyst.
  • Develop the plant cost of goods manufactured (variable costs + fixed overhead), with support from the plant Operations Analyst.
  • Assist the plant leadership team in developing and monitoring key performance indicators to assess functional performance and identify further cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Contribute to cost control and help build the future by providing financial analyses and recommendations.
  • Develop data- and fact-based insights to support decision-making and drive productivity initiatives aimed at reducing overall costs.
  • Actively participate in plant management committees and present financial results.
  • Responsible for employee relations, including employee career guidance, hiring, training, performance reviews, policy and procedure administration, disciplinary actions, and compensation recommendations.
  • Lead the implementation of departmental objectives, goals, and policies.
  • Fulfill supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Understand and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
