About The Position

AP Emissions Technologies provides aftermarket emissions and exhaust solutions for all vehicle classes. With nearly a century of innovation and integrated manufacturing, AP ensures OEM-quality performance, regulatory compliance, and broad product coverage worldwide. The Operations Finance Analyst is responsible for supporting the financial performance, inventory analytics, costing integrity, and operational decision-making activities across AP Emissions Technologies' manufacturing network, including AP, Catco, Aristo, and Eastern Manufacturing facilities. This position serves as a key business partner to Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Procurement teams by providing financial analysis, inventory management support, standard cost governance, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement recommendations. The role supports working capital optimization, cost reduction initiatives, ERP implementation activities, and operational reporting that drives informed business decisions. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical capabilities with a practical understanding of manufacturing operations to improve financial accuracy, inventory performance, and operational efficiency. This role aligns closely with the responsibilities currently managed by the Associated Parts Platform VP Operations Finance and is designed to provide direct support across the organization's manufacturing footprint.

  • BA/BS degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of cost accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of various standard costing using integrated Enterprise Resource Management systems such as Dataflow, EPICOR, INFOR, SAP, or Oracle.
  • Automotive products experience preferred
  • Ability to collaborate with a multi-department team
  • Excellent analysis skills and demonstrated proficiency managing analytically rigorous initiatives
  • Expert in Microsoft applications, and proficient in database query tools.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain integrity of SKU-level standard costs including material and labor standards.
  • Analyze manufacturing variances including purchase price, labor, material usage, and inventory adjustments.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle count programs, physical inventories, and reconciliation activities.
  • Support excess and obsolete inventory reviews and related reserve calculations.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve inventory turns and reduce working capital investment.
  • Analyze inventory trends, inventory health metrics, and demand signals to support inventory optimization initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain operational KPI reporting for manufacturing, inventory, service, quality, and financial performance.
  • Perform monthly financial analysis comparing actual results to budget, forecast, and prior year.
  • Analyze volume, mix, productivity, labor efficiency, and material cost drivers.
  • Prepare management reporting packages and executive-level financial presentations.
  • Support monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes.
  • Partner with manufacturing leadership to identify operational improvement opportunities.
  • Support make-versus-buy analyses, sourcing decisions, and cost reduction projects.
  • Provide financial analysis for production planning, inventory strategies, and SIOP initiatives.
  • Evaluate operational performance trends and recommend corrective actions.
  • Serve as a key finance representative supporting ERP implementation activities across manufacturing locations.
  • Participate in process mapping, testing, validation, training, and post-implementation stabilization efforts.
  • Assist with data governance activities including item masters, bills of material, routings, labor standards, and inventory data.
  • Support continuous improvement of financial and operational reporting systems.
  • Partner with Engineering and Operations to maintain BOM and routing accuracy.
  • Review Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO) for costing impacts.
  • Validate cost rollups and support new product introduction costing activities.
  • Ensure timely implementation of product cost changes.
  • Support financial analysis for capital expenditure projects including ROI, payback, and cost savings validation.
  • Participate in post-project reviews and performance tracking.
  • Assist with financial modeling related to automation, facility improvements, and strategic initiatives.
  • Support internal and external audit requests.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of internal controls.
  • Perform special projects and ad hoc analysis as assigned.
  • Support monthly financial close through various journal entries and support.
  • Assist in the AOP (budget) process.
