About The Position

Plans, executes, monitors, and evaluates the operations within the assigned geographic area, ensuring operational excellence that supports the organization's strategic focus on quality, service, and affordability that meets the overall strategic direction of Sutter Health. Is responsible for implementing and monitoring policies and procedures that ensure high-quality, efficient and compassionate patient care. Incumbent will work collaboratively with the geographic leadership team, service line leaders to promote planning, innovation, and problem solving to align back with enterprise strategy. Has authority and accountability for the assigned geographic area, including patient satisfaction, quality of care, financial goals (Incumbent will have financial accountability for budget and revenue for the assigned geographic area), and responsibility of managing all capital expenditures. Sutter Gould Medical Foundation is a not-for-profit health care organization dedicated to providing the highest level of care for our patients. Over 386 physicians in both primary and specialty practices provide outpatient services for residents in Stanislaus, San Joaquin and Merced County communities. With care centers in Modesto, Stockton and six other communities in the Central Valley, Sutter Gould is able to offer high quality medical care close to you and your family. This complex Operations role will support 250 Physicians and 300 employees across multi-specialty over 42 departments.

Requirements

  • Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field.
  • 15 years recent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in areas of physician practice operations and financing and managed care business.
  • Prior experience in a managed care market required.
  • Demonstrated record of developing highly effective working relationships with physicians.
  • Communication skills including oral, written and presentation.
  • Effective leadership skills and decision-making skills.

  • Master's degree preferred.
