About The Position

This role involves evaluating performance objectives and metrics across a network to identify process improvement opportunities. The Operations Engineer III will partner with operational leaders in pharmacy fulfillment centers to implement these improvements, driving stabilization and standardization. Feedback will be provided to Pharmacy Design Engineers to enhance future fulfillment center designs. The role also includes coaching operational leaders to reduce process variation and knowledge gaps, and identifying, exploring, evaluating, justifying, and realizing solutions that improve output quality, throughput rates, capacity, system utilization, and waste reduction. A key aspect is developing cross-functional knowledge of pharmacy operations systems, processes, procedures, and tools. Domestic or international travel up to 50% may be required.

Requirements

  • A master’s degree or foreign equivalent in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or related discipline and 3 years of experience in managing product and process development.
  • In the alternative, a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or related discipline followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience in managing product and process development.
  • 3 years of experience in process or product development management in industrial, logistics, distribution, last mile or production/manufacturing environment.
  • 3 years of experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma or other OE tools.
  • 3 years of experience in advanced data analysis using supporting tools: Minitab, JMP, MS Excel, MS Access or equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience in financial and statistical modelling.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate performance objectives and metrics across the network to proactively identify process improvement opportunities
  • Partner with operational leaders within the pharmacy fulfillment centers to execute implementation of process improvements driving stabilization and standardization across the network
  • Provide feedback to the Pharmacy Design Engineers based on implemented process improvements and other tests to improve the design of future pharmacy fulfillment centers
  • Deliver coaching and process path information across network of operational leaders in the FC’s to support reduction of variation in process standards and knowledge gaps within the FC network
  • Identify, explore, evaluate, justify and realize solutions that add value by improving output quality, throughput rates, capacity, system utilization, and the reduction of waste
  • Develop cross-functional knowledge of pharmacy operations systems, processes, procedures, and tools.
