About The Position

Alliant Energy is seeking to build its Grid Operations team and is hiring at multiple levels: Engineer I, Engineer II, and Engineer III. This role is for individuals who want to help design the grid of tomorrow, from early-career engineers to seasoned grid operations leaders. The specific level will be determined by the candidate's experience. The position involves a developmental progression across various key areas, including safety, customer focus, communication, technical application, planning, system operations, system analysis, and reliability. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in an accredited Engineering program.
  • Engineer III Grid Operations: 5 years of related experience.
  • Engineer II Grid Operations: 2 years of related experience.
  • Engineer I Grid Operations: Requires a Bachelor's Degree in an accredited Engineering program.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management).
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Knowledge of Asset Life Cycle Management.
  • Knowledge of Continual Improvement Process.
