About The Position

The Operations Director, ADR provides strategic leadership for an ADR business, office, or region, driving growth, operational excellence, financial performance, and long-term success. This senior leader develops high-performing teams, strengthens client and neutral relationships, and identifies opportunities to grow and enhance the business. Partnering across ADR, Veritext, and key functions, the Operations Director leads strategic initiatives that improve performance, elevate the client experience, and advance broader organizational goals.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in ADR, legal operations, professional services, business leadership, or a related field preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or higher required, advanced degree preferred
  • Proven success leading teams, business operations, strategic growth, and organizational initiatives
  • Strong executive leadership skills with demonstrated success developing leaders and building high-performing teams
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with experience managing financial performance and strategic planning
  • Deep understanding of ADR operations, client service, and dispute resolution practices
  • Exceptional relationship management, business development, communication, and influencing skills
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict resolution capabilities
  • Experience leading organizational change, integration efforts, or large-scale initiatives preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and organizational systems
  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy and business growth by developing and executing plans that expand market presence, strengthen client relationships, drive innovation, and support long-term organizational goals.
  • Own business and financial performance, including revenue, profitability, utilization, client retention, budgeting, forecasting, and identification of opportunities to improve overall performance.
  • Build and develop high-performing teams by leading and mentoring Business Managers and other leaders, strengthening leadership capabilities, supporting succession planning, and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
  • Drive neutral recruitment and roster strategy by identifying market needs, strengthening the neutral pipeline, supporting recruitment and retention, and ensuring roster composition aligns with practice areas, geographic coverage, diversity objectives, and business demand.
  • Strengthen client and market relationships by partnering with key clients, counsel, referral sources, Practice Development, and Marketing to support retention, business development, and market visibility.
  • Provide strategic operational oversight to ensure exceptional service delivery, client satisfaction, operational effectiveness, and adoption of organizational systems, standards, technologies, and best practices.
  • Advance ADR integration and organizational initiatives by partnering across ADR and Veritext to support acquisitions, business integration, knowledge sharing, and alignment while recognizing the needs of individual markets.
  • Support dispute resolution operations as needed, including independently administering matters and providing case management support during periods of high volume, staffing transitions, or other business needs.
