About The Position

This role involves managing standard, routine data analysis projects with limited supervision, from initial request to presenting data results, ensuring timely and within-budget completion. The analyst will collaborate with other Data Management Analysts to process data, analyze it, and report findings. Key responsibilities include creating automated data routines and processes for reporting and data delivery, ensuring accurate data manipulation and cleansing. The role also involves managing standard data extracts and list pulls, transferring data from databases to analysts for operational analysis, and demonstrating a full understanding of data processing and analysis techniques. The analyst will use various statistical tools to develop ad hoc reports, statistics, trends, and profiles, and communicate clear, concise, and actionable data analyses to clients. Maintaining audit-ready documentation, logging automation, tracker accuracy, and performing trend and root cause analysis are also crucial. The position requires managing data governance, records management, and folder structures.

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Engineering or other related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of related work experience.
  • Familiarity with utility operations.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel/Access including complex formulas, graphing, and VBA.
  • Skilled writing SQL queries using Oracle or Business Objects.
  • Skilled developing dashboards using PowerBi.
  • Skilled developing and reporting metrics and KPIs.
  • Experience in UNIX shell programming including csh, awk, sed, and vi.
  • Knowledge of base-SAS and programming languages such as Visual Basic, Perl, or C.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and effectively communicate findings.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity.
  • Tenacious and curious approach to problem solving.
