About The Position

Sentara Heart Hospital, located on the campus of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia, is hiring an Operations Coordinator for the Advanced Heart Program. This role will primarily support the team and Leader by performing administrative tasks, providing customer service, managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, preparing departmental reports and statistics, and maintaining files. The Operations Coordinator will also prepare and process accounts payable, payroll, employee mileage reimbursement claims, and operational information. Responsibilities include supply ordering and charge entry, as well as providing technical and administrative support to department staff. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of the department's operations, including educational programs, Sentara Healthcare systems, policies/procedures, and regulatory requirements. This role supports patient care delivery in a multi-disciplinary environment, requiring excellent communication and customer service skills.

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent
  • Two (2) years of scheduling experience required.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities
