About The Position

This position follows our hybrid-friendly schedule, so you get the best of both worlds – flexibility and collaboration. In office days will be 3 per week averaging 12 days per month in our St. Petersburg, FL Corporate Office. The Operations Consultant in our Advisor Transitions dept plays a key role in supporting the successful onboarding and transition of financial advisors through a combination of operational execution, data-driven insights, and cross-functional collaboration. This individual will leverage the Raymond James ARC recruiting platform to generate reporting, enhance system functionality, and support scalable process improvements. Partnering closely with internal stakeholders, the consultant will identify opportunities to streamline advisor onboarding workflows, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to a variety of strategic projects. The role requires strong relationship-building skills, the ability to translate data into actionable insights, and comfort presenting updates to both small and large audiences. This is a highly collaborative, detail-oriented position that combines operations, analytics, and project management to enhance the overall advisor transition experience and drive operational excellence.

Requirements

  • SIE required or ability to obtain within 120 days (as required by FINRA), provided that an exemption or grandfathering cannot be applied.
  • Series 99 required, or ability to obtain within 120 days (as required by FINRA).
  • Persons holding Series 6, 7, 17, 37 or 38 or those who hold principal-level registrations: Series 4, 9/10, 14, 16, 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 51, and 53 would be qualified to register as an Operations Professional (Series 99) without passing the examination.
  • High School (HS) (Required)
  • General Experience - 6 to 10 years

Responsibilities

  • Act as a business partner to important internal customers and manage relationships with them, while taking guidance from senior colleagues.
  • Identify and evaluate complex, expertise-led solutions against a range of criteria to find the ones that best meet business needs.
  • Execute a communications plan within established internal communication systems and procedures.
  • Manage relationships with small clients while also helping senior colleagues manage relationships with larger key clients and customers.
  • Write and edit material for various target populations, tailoring the tone and content to match the needs and expectations of each audience.
