At First Student, our Operations Clerks play a key role in keeping our locations running smoothly. This position supports the Location Manager with payroll, billing, onboarding, and day-to-day administrative operations. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Basic data entry and 10-key skills

Nice To Haves

  • Prior administrative, payroll, or office experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Process new hire paperwork and maintain employee files in compliance with company policy
  • Support payroll processing for drivers and staff, including attendance tracking
  • Process vendor invoices, code expenses, and assist with accounts payable
  • Assist with billing for charters and rentals and follow up on outstanding invoices
  • Maintain petty cash, reconcile monthly, and track daily cash receipts
  • Receive applications and assist with interview scheduling
  • Answer phones and respond to customer and internal inquiries
  • Order office supplies and support general administrative needs
