About The Position

Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative (SSVEC) is a cooperative delivering safe and reliable electric service, through people who provide exceptional support to our member-owners and the communities we serve. SSVEC is a not for profit, member owned distribution cooperative providing electricity to more than 51,000 services over some 4,100 miles of energized line. Located in southeastern Arizona, SSVEC is dedicated to community growth, quality of life and a positive vision for the future. SSVEC is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Operations Clerk in Willcox, AZ. This position provides critical administrative support to ensure efficient workflow, communication, and service reliability for our members. The Operations Clerk provides administrative support to the Construction/Maintenance Manager and field crews. This role is central to coordinating work orders, supporting outage response, maintaining records, and ensuring smooth communication between departments, crews, and members.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum two years of administrative/clerical experience or equivalent required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Valid Arizona driver's license required
  • Candidates must complete standard pre-employment drug screening and background checks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support including reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and document management.
  • Coordinate and manage work orders from release through completion, including scheduling and documentation.
  • Communicate with members, contractors and internal teams to ensure work order readiness and service delivery.
  • Monitor and update systems such as outage management and maintenance ticketing platforms.
  • Process Blue Stake tickets and coordinate with agencies for permits and compliance.
  • Dispatch service crews and assist with outage communication and response efforts.
  • Maintain training records, process transactions, and support department logistics.
