About The Position

The Operations Analyst supports cross-functional technical requirements and provides technical integration solutions across military branches and Government agencies for a Department of War communications system supporting the Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) System-of-Systems Technical Integration Center (MSTIC). The role develops technical documentation, establishes issue-resolution procedures, and provides operational assistance to end users and programs.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience supporting or operating tactical edge communications systems.
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Military training or job experience related to tactical radio operations or maintenance, networking, radio electronics, and the employment or use of tactical data applications.
Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience performing C4I planning, provisioning, terminal operations, and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of MANET/COP technology.
Bachelor’s degree.
Network+ certification.
Security+ certification.

Responsibilities

Monitor system status using available situational awareness capabilities to identify potential user issues.
Perform advanced analysis and applied issue-resolution support.
Coordinate with MUOS O/I Level personnel on potential root causes and corrective actions.
Coordinate and perform provisioning and terminal characterization testing when necessary.
Develop and update diagrams based on issues experienced.
Attend FRBs and provide user-experience input for designated failures.
Provide technical documentation as required.
Develop metrics and trends on common issues to support improved enterprise troubleshooting.
Support user CONOP/CONEMP planning to maximize the effectiveness of MUOS capability.
