About The Position

This position will directly support the Director of Accounting and Hillandale Leadership in developing, forecasting, and variance monitoring to analyze financial, sales and other and company data.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of overall business experience, accounting and financial planning and analysis roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field
  • Strong data analysis and Microsoft excel skills
  • Experience in trend analytics and financial forecasting
  • Proven efficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and financial software applications
  • ERP experience, preferably in Microsoft Business Central
  • Solid organizational, time management, problem-solving, judgment, and interpersonal skills are critical
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work effectively across various departments

  • Experience with Power BI

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Production, Processing, Finance, and Operations teams to support reporting, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance reports and dashboards using Power BI and other reporting tools
  • Participate in developing and tracking operational metrics related to financial performance
  • Generate and consolidate company-wide sales reports, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution to leadership
  • Support production reporting by compiling, analyzing, and presenting key operational metrics
  • Perform cost analysis related to production, labor, and materials to identify inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities
  • Analyze variances between actual costs and expected costs, working with operations to understand drivers and recommend corrective actions
  • Assist with inventory reconciliation by analyzing variances and partnering with operations to resolve discrepancies
  • Support the month-end close process by preparing reports, reconciling data, and assisting Accounting as needed
  • Fulfill ad hoc reporting requests across departments with a focus on accuracy and turnaround time
  • Assist in improving reporting efficiency through automation and standardization of processes
  • Participate in system enhancements and ERP-related initiatives as needed
