This position is part of the Operations Department within the Distribution Division. Operations comprises Productions Services and Customer Operations teams. These teams oversee SPHE supply chain management from procurement and manufacturing of physical product (DVD, BD and 4K discs) to distribution to SPHE retail partners and in-store execution. As a member of this organization, the Trainee will learn all aspects of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment (SPHE) physical distribution. Based on business needs, the Trainee will support any of these teams.
Requirements
- Adaptability, flexibility, and ability to learn new systems/databases
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) with varying levels of management and with external customers
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
Nice To Haves
- Experience with retail landscape, Entertainment and/or Consumer Packaged Goods industry, market factors and strategies.
Responsibilities
- Product Placement Support: Assist with retail inventory planning, sales order distribution, and product delivery
- Exception Management: Out of stock prevention, backorder management, exception resolution, performance reporting
- Consumer Support: Assist with navigation/resolution of customer issues
- Performs special projects and ad hoc analysis as requested by management or internal teams
- Supports innovation and process improvement opportunities within team and across functional areas
